ITIL Foundation Training

The ITIL Foundation Training prepares candidates for the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management. This certification is proof that the candidate passing the required exam has gained knowledge of the ITIL terminology, structure and basic concepts and comprehends the core principles of ITIL practices for Service Management.
Participants of the Foundation Training will gain knowledge and understanding of the following components as defined in the Official Foundation Certificate Syllabus.:
- Service Management as a practice
- Service Lifecycle
- Key Principles and Models
- Generic Concepts
- Selected Processes
- Selected Roles
- Selected Functions
- Technology and Architecture.
Foundation Training Content:
The Foundation Training comprises six (6) parts covering the material defined in the Official Foundation Certificate Syllabus:
- Course Introduction and ITIL Concepts
- Service Strategy
- Service Design
- Service Transition
- Service Operation
- Continual Service Improvement.
Training Format, Strategies and Techniques
The Foundation Training uses a Blended Training format comprising classroom sessions, online self-paced training, and online exam simulation questions. This format allows students to study at their own pace and to take the Exam whenever they want.
The classroom component comprises 18 contact hours divided into three (3) six-hour sessions (9 am to 4 pm), with one session every 7 days. (With a corporate group, the sessions may be held on 3 consecutive days.)
The online training is an ITIL Online Self Paced Training Component with approximately eight (8) hours of viewing and listening covering the material required for the exam. Each student will be given a 60-day license to this online component.
The online exam simulations allow access to more than 700 realistic ITIL Foundation exam questions. This is a good gauge of exam readiness as well as additional preparation for those needing to do so.
Bloom Taxonomy serves as a guide to the Program as the Foundation Exam uses Bloom levels 1 and 2.
After the classroom sessions (18 hours), the Program provides a suggested 30-day self-study timeline with specific material for study sessions and with the recommendation that the exam be taken within 14 days of the completion of this timeline. For the average student, the timeline covers 18 hours of self-study during the 30-day period, and during this time, the facilitator guides and monitors participants. The 18 hours include the time required (8 hours) for the ITIL Online Self Paced Training Component. The study timeline is merely a recommendation as a student may accelerate the study plan and take the exam within days of the classroom sessions.
The Program uses accelerated learning techniques employed in the TrainX Exam Success Program (https://trainx.com/trainx-exam-success/). With these techniques, participants have a very high (95% plus) probability of passing the exam in the first attempt.
Prior to the commencement of the Foundation Training, participants will be provided with online references for reading on the “big picture” or broad concepts of ITIL in order to maximize benefits of the training.
Taking the ITIL Foundation Exam:
Participants have 2 options for taking the exam:
- At a local testing center
- From any computer anywhere, using a remote web cam proctor.
Fees for the Foundation Training are TT$ 8,900 per person.
For corporate on-site training, fees are TT$ 48,060 for a group of up to 6 persons. Beyond 6 in the same group, the additional fee per participant is TT$ 8,000.
VAT is to be added to fees above.
The fees cover classroom sessions, the 60-day license for the online self-paced component, a student manual for each participant, and 60-day access to the 700+ realistic ITIL Foundation exam questions
